This craftsman bungalow has a couple of unusual features. First the entrance is at the side of the house. This is certainly not unheard of in homes of this vintage, as there are some advantages to entering in the middle of the house rather than the end, but it is also not the norm. Second, the attic in this house has been converted into a number of rather cozy rooms (so long as you watch your head). Add to that the wonderfully preserved wood work in the public rooms, and the vintage stove and bead board paneling in the kitchen, and this Berkeley home has a lot going for it.
