611 57th, Oakland

This North Oakland craftsman bungalow has some nice details. There is a wonderfully unifying broken lattice pattern that is repeated throughout the house. It is seen in the divided light windows, the glass pocket doors, and the glass doors to the built-ins around the fireplace. The home is filled with original woodwork – from the inlaid floors, to the numerous built-ins, box beam ceilings and bead board in the kitchen. There are even some nice period light fixtures scattered through the house.
