It’s pretty unusual to see two Roger Lee homes hit the market in as many weeks, but sometimes the fates are smiling and strange things happen. You may recall that we featured a lovely example in Berkeley last week. Well, this week there is an equally nice home on the market in Oakland. It was built slightly later and is slightly larger, but it still has all of the wonderful hallmarks of Lee’s mature work. We see here again Lee’s love for the juxtaposition between vertical paneling and the horizontals of the roof beams, the ample built-ins and interesting fireplaces. Even the kitchen appears nearly entirely original – quite a treat.
