This Spanish colonial revival side by side duplex has a lot going for it. For one thing, though the units have a number of similar details they are not mirror images of each other, so they each have a certain individuality which is often lacking in multi-unit buildings. This also allows the duplex to take on a sort of rambling appearance from the street very much in keeping with the romanticized notions of Spanish colonial architecture which were the inspiration for this style of home. Inside, both units have great exposed timber roofs, period lights, and semi-cylindrical corner fireplaces along with lots of other original woodwork and vintage bathroom fixtures.
