1655 Diablo Vista, Alamo

Alamo has a reputation as a bedroom community for the well-heeled with its large lots and homogeneous oversized ranch homes; but occasionally even Alamo surprises with an interesting modernist offering. The home we feature today has been recently expanded and updated, and though a number of original mid-century features have been lost in the process, a number of other features have been accentuated. Most notably, the home has become much more of a true international style glass box through the addition of a simply staggering number of glazed openings around the perimeter. The entire back of the house is now effectively open to the large yard and pool, turning what was once a relatively non-descript mid-century into a real showpiece.
