1734 Woodhaven, Oakland

This lovely Tudor home is somewhat of an optical illusion. The exterior of the home has all of the details of a large mansion with multiple gables and dormers and a massive stone chimney at the entrance, but all of these various elements have been scaled down to contain what is in reality a rather modest two bed one bath home of only 1500 SF. This playful miniaturization borders on storybook, but the period embellishments otherwise seem quite staid and serious. Inside, the home is lavishly decorated with box beam ceilings and recessed paneling in almost every room, again playing the part of a much larger residence.
