4365 Howe, Oakland

This compact colonial revival bungalow is about as pared down as is possible on the exterior. Gone are the typical protruding bays and decorative moldings. It is the style at its most fundamental – a box with a hipped roof and single central dormer. The simplified façade, however, conceals a relatively well-appointed (and well-preserved) interior. There is board and batten paneling with brackets, a great fireplace, and a wonderful collection of period light fixtures, all in amazing shape.
