66 Stonecastle, Alamo

This unusual Alamo foreclosure looks suspiciously like the work of Carr Jones. It needs a bit of love, but it has all of the hallmarks of his mature brick and stone-laden storybook homes. Jones was particularly fond of using brick to create organic curved walls and fireplaces tucked into the corners of rooms and this home features both prominently as well as many other unexpected details. This is potentially the second Jones house we have seen come on the market in the San Ramon valley this spring and quite frankly, we were not aware that he had designed so many homes this far East, but it is certainly a welcome surprise. Hopefully the home can find itself a new owner that will be willing to restore it to its former glory.

  1. Steve Parsons says:

Lived in this house from the 70’s to the 90’s. Was definitely a Carr Jones home.
