11 Camelot, Kensington

This Kensington mid-century was designed by an El Cerrito architect with a serious handle. Ulysses Socrates Barbachano built the home for his family in the early 70s and they would remain there until 1999. The exterior of the home has a very light-hearted air about it with its multi-colored textured glass at the entrance and rock accent walls. Inside it is a bit more staid with white walls and exposed roof structure through much of the house. It feels like an architect’s home with all of the idiosyncrasies and personal touches that one might expect to find.
