The home we feature today was built at essentially the same time as the last house we discussed on Brunell but it feels a bit more rustic with its woodsy ceilings and without all of the intricate screens and trellis work. It has an unusual roofline which extends out over the entry stairs becoming a long canopy that stretches up the hill. Inside, it is simply full of wood in true Bay Region style and its large windows and great collection of period furniture showcase it well. The home was reportedly designed by Douglas Cayne whose work we are not familiar with, but it is an impressive structure and it definitely piques our curiosity.
