This unusual home was built in the early 90s, but it has a decidedly mid-century feel due to its atypical roofline and ample interior woodwork. It is not a replica of an earlier home as much as it is a contemporary home informed by a period aesthetic, which is not an entirely novel idea. The 20s and 30s were awash in homes that were “revivals” of the styles of previous periods, and given the fact that the 90s were a period characterized by “retro” fashion it only makes sense that there might be a bit of retro architecture as well.
