148 Wildwood Gardens, Piedmont

This substantial Piedmont residence is a rather late example of Third Bay Region design. The exterior is typically woodsy with plenty of shingles and applied volumes telegraphing varied interior spaces, but inside, the home reflects the changing tastes of the early 80s with flat white walls and a minimum of embellishment. It is an interesting period piece from a moment of transition in domestic architecture. The rough-hewn interiors of the 70s have given way to the cleaner lines that would follow.
