1110 1/2 Euclid, Berkeley

This charming Berkeley Hills shingle style cottage is tucked away on a flag lot out of site from the street. It was built a number of years before any of the houses that now surround it, so it must have felt especially remote and private when it was new. Even today with the rest of the neighborhood built out it still has a rather secluded quality. Inside, the home is lavished with dark wood. The spaces manage to feel both generous and comfortable despite its rather modest footprint.
