2008 Clinton, Alameda

Our featured home today is a sizable Alameda colonial revival foursquare designed by San Francisco architect William Armitage. When the home was built, it enjoyed unobstructed views across the bay. This sought after vista disappeared as a result of the massive and controversial bay fill development undertaken in the 1950s, but fortunately much of the rest of the house has managed to remain more or less unaltered with plenty of original woodwork and nice period embellishments.
