21800 Hesperian, Hayward

The William Osterloh house is one of the best preserved Victorian era homes in Hayward. It was moved to its current location on Hesperian in order to save it from demolition and as a result it looks a bit out of place among the newer ranch homes that surround it. Even out of context though, it remains an impressive structure. Both the interior and exterior managed to survive the move fairly intact and they are a great testament to the attention to detail and the creativity of the late Queen Anne builders.
