The George and Lutie Walker house is a substantial Tudor revival residence designed by Julia Morgan in 1909. The highly symmetrical home features unusual vertical half timbering and an assortment of gables in various shapes and sizes. Morgan reduces the overall mass of the house somewhat by cladding the first floor in brick and the upper floors in stucco, but even with this sleight of hand, the home is still a formidable presence on the street. The garage (also designed by Morgan) was added by the second owner.
