This intriguing custom mid-century turns up in an unexpected location. It is situated on what used to be the edge of the island of Alameda during the first half of the last century. Alameda is best known for its lavish Victorians, but there was a fair amount of development in the 1960s and 70s as well after the island was substantially enlarged. This home is of particular interesting with its grand two story living space, ample woodwork, and period fixtures.
