91 Tunnel, Berkeley

This beautiful Tudor is the work of Berkeley’s first and only City Architect, Walter Ratcliff. Ratcliff was a prolific designer who practiced in a variety of styles from craftsman to period revival and endowed each with his characteristic creativity. This particular example is especially lavish with carefully organized clusters of windows and half timbering outside and loads of expressive woodwork in. Even by Ratcliff’s high standards it’s an exceptional home.
