125 Alta Haciendas, Orinda

Click picture for additional photos and complete listing

This sizable Orinda home was built in the early 80s and it occupies an interesting transitional period in residential design. The crisp geometry and subtractive massing that characterized much Third Bay Region design are still present, but the traditional rustic exterior has been replaced with smooth planes of stucco. The carefully composed interiors are still largely wood but there are clean drywall accents interspersed throughout for a bit of contrast.
