Colonial revival bungalows are extremely common in the East Bay. They were the height of domestic fashion at the start of the 20th century when a major building boom was taking place in Oakland and Berkeley. Despite their ubiquity however (or perhaps because of it), there are relatively few of these lovely homes that retain most of their original charm. The example we feature here today is an exception. Not only does all of the period woodwork remain, but even the kitchen and bath are largely intact which is exceptionally rare.
