Today we feature an intriguing residence built on one of the lots cleared by the Oakland Hills Fire. It is of particular interest because it appears to be one of the few homes rebuilt after the fire that was modeled after the structure that preceded it. This one looks very much like a contemporary version of a home built in the 50s or 60s. It has a number of features that suggest the influence of Tom Lowe but of course with modern building materials and code requirements it cannot be an exact replica of its mid-century predecessor, and therefore is a bit difficult to compare.
