Henry Wilson was a prolific designer from Los Angeles who was fondly known as “The Bungalow Man”. His volumes of plan books were immensely successful at the start of the twentieth century and helped to popularize the familiar bungalow form on the West Coast and beyond. Complete plans for any of the homes in the books could be purchased for ten dollars so variations of his homes can be found across the United States. The home we feature today was reportedly built from one of these plans and is a charming example indeed. It has seen some updating over the years but the alterations are exceedingly sensitive.
