32 Coachwood, Orinda

Today we feature a distinguished late mid-century residence in Orinda Downs. Inside, the home is distinctly Third Bay Region with plenty of clear wood paneling and carefully placed windows. The exterior on the other hand is a bit more reminiscent of earlier low slung modernist structures with a relatively flat roofline and deep overhanging eaves. It is an interesting design that manages to successfully combine qualities of several generations of local modernist tastes.
