20 Sky Terrace, Danville

We are extremely pleased to see this home back on the market and in such good shape. A couple of years ago it was listed as an empty lot and we were fearful that it would become another victim of the tear down and rebuild epidemic which has claimed a number of beautiful mid-century homes in Danville over the last few years. This particular example was designed by George Homsey quite early in his career but it already demonstrates his typically elegant and understated detailing. Homsey is widely credited as one of the founders of Third Bay Region design along with his partner Joseph Esherick but this home displays none of the revolutionary features that would become the trademarks of their practice just a few years later. It is a great early example by one of the area’s most respected local architects.
