This unusual brick ranch was on the market a couple of years ago in need of a bit of love but showing a great deal of promise. Today it is back and looking much improved. It was built by Charles Elsenius who was a local brick mason and also the founder of Woolsenius Tile which supplied the tile for numerous period revival homes across the East Bay. Charles McGregor, who was responsible for building much of Albany was one of his regular clients. Of course, a number of Elsenius’ showy tiles have made it into this home as well, helping to complete the rather eclectic aesthetic assemblage.
