This exceptionally well-preserved Italianate residence was originally home to John Anthony who was a senior official at the Central Pacific Railroad in San Francisco. Amazingly, the home has had only two owners in the almost century and a half since it was built which likely accounts for its amazing condition. It is a testament to the stewardship of the two families that have called it home that it has retained its place of pride among Alameda’s many exceptional Victorian homes for so many years.
