This unusual late mid-century combines traditional Spanish colonial materials with the more familiar modernist standbys, exposed wood and glass. It makes for a particularly nice mix of textures and the adobe and Saltillo tile actually fit quite well with the rustic aesthetic that was prevalent in the 70s. This relatively rare merger of styles is here handled with great facility and the result is surprisingly successful.
